ARLP was established in 2006 to take advantage of the mining development opportunities in the Abitibi region and traditional territory of Apitipi Anicinapek Nation and has since experienced significant growth and expansion in the key industries of northeastern Ontario with continued success in its subsidiaries: Black Diamond Drilling – a wholly owned drilling company servicing mineral exploration of mining companies; Black Diamond Forestry – a sustainable forest management entity and timber harvesting that manages harvesting and consumption shares across many licenses; and more recently, Apitipi Anicinapek Trucking – an acquisition of an existing trucking company providing transportation services and aggregate to various businesses. ARLP works closely with the AAN’s negotiations team and actively engages with proponents to explore economic opportunities across many projects including mining and continues to seek partnerships in Joint Ventures, limited partnerships and opportunities that are true to economic growth of First Nation businesses.
